Key elements: strategy, ambition and grit, for swimmers who demand extra! The 90min and 180min Endurance has the same objective with some twists. The same 1000m lap is used in both events with the longer duration event starting first.
The 90min endurance event has a target of 5km's within the allowed time limit. The 180min endurance event has a target of 10km's within the allowed time limit.
Due to the duration of the event the impact of a tidal change is expected while on course thus providing the participant with changed variables at every buoy. As the participants of the shorter event (90min) are started at a later time, an additional variable is introduced. The participants with “fresh arms” are likely to create some mental challenges for those already on route. GPS enabled smartwatches are required for this event.Spectators are encouraged to watch from the shoreline or from boats anchored off the course. A good pair of binoculars is recommended.

A single lap will either be at 750m or 1000m and will be indicated on the ticket. 1000m lap will be used for a distance based event (e.g. 1km/ 3km/ 5km)
Small Series: Total of 7km’s from 3 swims of 1km/ 3 km’s each.
Spectators are encouraged to watch from the shoreline or from boats anchored off the course. A good pair of binoculars is recommended.
